The Calorie Deficit

Fat loss occurs when your body uses more energy than it receives from food, creating what is known as a calorie deficit. The goal isn't to eat as little as possible but to create a sensible, sustainable deficit while continuing to eat nutritious foods and stay active. Combined with regular strength training and adequate protein, a moderate calorie deficit allows you to lose body fat while preserving muscle, making your progress healthier and easier to maintain.
